Start the morning with a 5.5-mile kayak trip from the Columbia Boat Docks to the Charles Allen Ouachita River Nature Preserve. Kayakers launch at 7 a.m., and all kayakers are welcome!

At the preserve, join ULM’s Annual 2026 BioBlitz. ULM biology students and faculty will lead hikes as we look for birds, plants, insects, reptiles, amphibians, and more. Live exhibits and opportunities to explore continue throughout the day. More about the bioblitz
