Host: Peoples Forest Foundation
Location: Sandy Hollow Campground, Kentwood, LA
This hands-on workshop/volunteer event is hosted by the Peoples Forest Foundation and led by Steve Nevitt, owner of Louisiana Native Seed Company. The workshop is taking place at the Sandy Hollow WMA, taking participants directly into one of the most botanically diverse longleaf pine savannas in Louisiana.
You'll learn professional techniques for identifying, harvesting, and cleaning native seed—valuable skills you can bring straight back to your own garden. Come build your seed-saving skills while contributing to regional habitat restoration!
Particpants will be walking through un-even, grassy terrain within an open pine forest, hand collecting seeds
